Surroundings
The apartment is located between the Grands Boulevards and the Montorgeuil area, in the "Sentier", the historic garnment district of the 2nd arrondissement. A 5 minutes walk leads to the famous Montorgeuil market street. This busy, pedestrianised street is lined with groceries, delicatessens and pavement cafés.
Some historic façades remain : Patisserie Stohrer ( founded in 1730 and credited with the invention of the sugary puits d'amour), Le Rocher de Cancale at N°78, and back towards Les Halles, the golden snail sign hanging out in front of L'Escargot Montorgueil, a restaurant that first opened in 1832.
Only a short walk away from the Forum Chatelet/Les Halles, the Georges Pompidou National Center of Arts and Culture, the Louvre museum or the Palais Royal, the apartment is situated conveniently to visit some of Paris's most famous and historical sites.
